Michael and his wife Donna moved to Atlanta from Boston in 2014. They searched practically every intown neighborhood and many not intown looking for a place to live until falling in love with the Midtown Garden District. They are empty nesters with children living in NYC and Chicago and are active participants in the Midtown community as members of the High and Breman Museums and the Atlanta Botanical Garden and subscribers to the Alliance Theatre and the ASO.
Michael spent most of his career as a consultant with stints in manufacturing and inbound call centers before transitioning into academia where he is currently an Associate Professor of the Practice at Emory’s Goizueta Business School. His background is in Operations Research and he applies his academic skills to analyzing APD crime data as a member of the Safety Committee and as the liaison of the committee to the MNA Board.
While in Boston, Michael was president of the synagogue to which his family belonged, a big brother and a volunteer with Boston Bikes. He now is the volunteer coordinator of Torah Study at Congregation Shearith Israel and a ride leader with the Atlanta Cycling Festival. Michael and Donna’s house is regularly on the Midtown Garden Stroll but Michael freely admits that all the credit for their garden goes to Donna.
